About St. Thomas
Accreditation
St. Thomas High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and by the Louisiana State Board of Education.
The school holds membership in the National Catholic Education Association, the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
Faculty
The teachers at St. Thomas Aquinas have been chosen, not only for their strong academic qualifications, but also for their ability to listen and work with young people in the development of sound spiritual and moral values.
Schedule
STA operates on a 4 by 4 block schedule.
Students enroll in four ninety minute classes each semester, allowing them more time on task under the direction and supervision o a teacher, as well as affording them the opportunity to take more courses over a four year period.
Seniors receive scholarship offers averaging more than one million dollars each year.

Curriculum
St. Thomas Aquinas High School maintains a well-balanced curriculum in an effort to meet the needs of all students in the finest tradition of academic excellence.
The offerings in religion, academic studies, discipline and guidance focus on the individual and are directed toward the formation of the total student.
St. Thomas Aquinas offers a strong, college preparatory academic curriculum. At least ninety-five percent of STA graduates go directly to college.
