Bartels named National Merit Scholarship Corporation Commended Student

STA Principal Jose Becerra congratulates senior Butch Bartels on his recent status as Commended Student of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Each year approximately 50,000 high scorers are identified in the National Merit Program, and 34,000 of those scorers are named commended students. These students are in the top 3% of the nation's high school graduating seniors. "I am honored to have received this award from such a prestigious program," said Bartels. "Now that this is over, I'll be focusing myself into the next step of my high school career. This is all quite exciting."
