BECKY SEALE HONORED AS 2014 STA MOTHER SETON RECIPIENT

The Saint Thomas Aquinas Home & School Association has selected Mrs. Becky Seale as the 2014 recipient of the Mother Seton Award.  The award was created to honor those individuals whose volunteer service and dedication to home, school, and church has been exemplary.  Mother Seton recipients have strong Christian values, and a selfless dedication to Catholic education. The Diocese of Baton Rouge honored all Mother Seton recipients at a luncheon on April 1, 2014.

“In a world where time is so valuable and often lacking, Becky goes out of her way to give of her time and talents to innumerable K-12 at-risk students on a daily basis,” said STA Principal José Becerra. “Some may think that she only tutors these students, but it is so much more.  Becky welcomes her students into her home, often providing meals and transportation, and a loving touch along with their studies.  She is a steady force in the lives of these children, sacrificing her own time to help them achieve academic accomplishments.”

Becky and her husband, Mark, are the proud parents of two children:  Allie, a 2013 STA graduate and current student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Connor, a sophomore at STA.
