The Student Council and the Athletics Department joined forces to purchase a 16' x 8' backdrop with both the school logo and athletic logo to be used during photo opportunities. "This will help with so many things, from athletic signings and awards presentations to Grandparent's Day and other events," said Student Council Sponsor Michelle Chauvin. Seniors Regan Bolton and Courtney Dawsey joined together for signing day as the pair each inked their names to play basketball at the next level. Bolton, a 5'8' shooting guard, will be headed to join former STA Lady Falcon standout Amber Donnes at McNeese State University, while Dawsey, a 5'5" guard, is headed to Southeastern Louisiana University to join the Lady Lions.

Senior football player Edwin Alexander was presented his honorary game jersey at the American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the 2016 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game. The event is part of the three-month American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the Under Armour All-America Game.

Glenn "Butch" Bartels and Courtney Dawsey were recently named School Winners for the prestigious Wendy's High School Heisman Award which highlights exceptional high school seniors and their achievements in the classroom, on the field and in the community. Bartels and Dawsey will move on for consideration in the next stage of the program where they could be named a State Finalist.
