STA becomes proactive about underage drinking

St. Thomas Aquinas parents packed the school’s auditorium Wednesday night to hear first-hand from a panel of officials the consequences of social hosting.

The panel consisted of District Attorney Scott Perrilloux, Sheriff Daniel Edwards, Judge Blair Edwards, State Police Public Information Officer Nick Manale, Assistant District Attorney LeAnne Malnar, TRACC Director Bridget Bailey and STA Disciplinarian Nick Stoulig. Parents were able to hear from each panelist and direct questions to any of them.

STA announces 2012 Homecoming Court

Saint Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School is pleased to announce its 2012 Homecoming Court.  The Homecoming Queen will be announced at half-time of the football game on Friday, October 5 against St. Helena.  The Homecoming King will be announced during the dance on October 6.

Though he has traveled in England, France, Italy and Canada, Zane Buckner said his recent trip to Peru with the Fuller Center for Housing opened his eyes to another side of the world.

STA alumna honored at SLU

Southeastern Louisiana University awarded its highest academic honor, the Presidents Medal for Academic Excellence, to 13 students with the highest cumulative grade point averages in the university's five colleges.

STA alumna visits Kenya, helps social change program

St. Thomas Aquinas alumna Malia Cali spent 10 days this summer in Kenya, where she helped build a school she raised money for the year leading up to the trip.

Through a leadership group, Cali became involved with a program called Free the Children while she was a student at the University of North Carolina. Because the university didn’t have much involvement with Free the Children, Cali took the idea and joined forces with students at other schools in a group called Student Athletes Leading Social Change.
