Rohner Joins the ACT 30+ Club

STA Principal José Becerra recognizes senior John Thomas Rohner for his composite score of 30 on the ACT College Placement Test.  The Veritas ACT 30+ Award at STA is given to all students who receive a composite score of 30 or above on the ACT.  J.T. is the son of John and Christy Rohner of Amite.

Hudspeth Qualifies for State in 4-H Shooting Competition

Congratulations to freshman Nicholas Hudspeth for his recent accomplishments in a 4-H Regional Shooting competition.  He placed second in the silhouette pistol competition, third in Camp Perry Round pistol competition, third in slow fire pistol competition, and 3rd in overall shooting.  These accomplishments have qualified Nicholas for the state competition.  Good luck!

Robby Miller Chosen as 2015 Mother Seton Recipient

The STA Home & School Association has selected Mr. C.R. "Robby" Miller, Jr. as the 2015 recipient of the "Mother Seton Award."  This award was created to honor those individuals whose volunteer service and dedication to home, school, and church has been exemplary.  Mother Seton recipients have strong Catholic values, and a selfless dedication to Catholic education. 

STA Honors Neighbor's Way Brotherhood & Sisterhood Recipients

As part of their Catholic School's Week celebration, STA is pleased to recognize the 2015 Neighbor's Way Brotherhood & Sisterhood Award recipients. Seniors Miranda Howes and Adam DiBenedetto were chosen by the senior class as recipients of STA's Brotherhood / Sisterhood Awards.  The faculty and staff chose to honor faculty member Mrs. Connie Irby and Business Manager Pam Smith.

STARLETTES RANKED IN NATION’S TOP TEN

HAMMOND, LA -- The Starlettes Dance Team from Saint Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School recently returned from Orlando, FL where they competed in the Universal Dance Association’s National Dance Team Championship.  The Starlettes competed against more than 120 small varsity teams from across the country who qualified to compete at the NDTC.  They advanced to finals in their Hip Hop division and also advanced to Small Varsity Jazz semi-finals, finishing the weekend with a tenth-place national trophy in the Small Varsity Hip Hop category.
