Class of 2018 Enjoys Ice Cream Social

99 ninth-graders gathered at STA for their first event as the "Class of 2018" on Tuesday evening. While their parents attended an informational assembly with administrators, the new freshman class enjoyed ice-breakers and ice cream sundaes in the Theatre with the Advancement Team and the STA Student Ambassadors. As was explained to both groups, this is an exciting year to be a Falcon at STA: the new academic building will be opening in the late fall; the gym floor is being renovated; the baseball field and other athletic facilities are being upgraded; and there is a new 8-period rotational schedule to give the students more opportunities with electives, thus assisting our students with both college and career readiness. Orientation for STA students is Thursday and Friday. Classes begin on Monday.
