Congressman Scalise Commends STA March for Lifers
A representative from Congressman Steve Scalise's office attended Mass this morning at STA in order to deliver a message from the Congressman. This letter was read aloud:
Dear St. Thomas Aquinas Students and Faculty,
Thank you for participating in the 2014 March for Life and representing St. Thomas High School and Louisiana. I admire the commitment you showed to support the rights of the unborn by taking a long trip from Hammond, Louisiana to Washington, D.C. and braving the extremely cold weather. Like you, I also attended a Catholic high school and am proud we stand together in upholding the sanctity of human life.
I hope your experience joining thousands from around the country will remain with you always. Please continue to proudly share your pro-life commitment in Louisiana so we can continue to be the most pro-life state in the country. Enclosed are pictures from the reception I hosted following the march.
It's an honor to represent you in Congress. I hope you have a wonderful spring semester. Go Falcons!
Sincerely,
Steve Scalise
Member of Congress
Each student who attended the March was presented with a copy of the photograph.
