Environmental Science Students Visit Turtle Cove

The STA Environmental Science classes recently visited the Turtle Cove Environmental Research Station run by Southeastern Louisiana University. Turtle Cove is a historic structure located in the wetlands on Pass Manchac. Students took samples of wildlife and learned about current wetland loss and the preventative actions that are being taken by SLU and Tangipahoa Parish. The visit also included a swamp tour to view local wildlife.
