Mi5Ke Run/Walk to Benefit Scholarship at STA

Sign up now for the first Mi5Ke Run/Walk to benefit the Mike Darouse Scholarship Fund at STA and the Esophageal Cancer Action Network to be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2013.  Registration/Check-in begins at 8:00am at Cate Square in Hammond. Seniors Present Research Project on Careers

English IV students in Mrs. Brooks' class are wrapping up the final steps of their research project.  Each student's project included researching a career, annotating, rough drafts, a final essay and a 5-10 minute presentation.  Pictured is AP student Jacob Smith demonstrating the proper way to brush teeth, which he learned by researching careers in dentistry.

St. Albert's Youth Sponsors Mother's Day Cake Sale

Please support our STA students who are members of Venture Crew 703, the Youth Group at St. Albert's during their Mother's Day Cake Sale. Cakes are $10 and include yellow, chocolate, red velvet, spice or carrot.  Funds raised will go toward the purchase of new equipment and for future events. Johnny Milazzo Honored as 2013 Mother Seton Recipient

The STA Home & School Association has selected Mr. Johnny  Milazzo as the 2013 recipient of the Mother Seton Award.  This award was created to honor those individuals whose volunteer service and dedication to home, school, and church has been exemplary.  Mother Seton recipients have strong Catholic values, and a selfless dedication to Catholic education. The Diocese of Baton Rouge honored all Mother Seton recipients at a luncheon on April 11, 2013.

NHS helps with Bingo at Belle Maison

Pictured is STA National Honor Society member Taylor Kast helping with Bingo at Belle Maison Nursing Home. The Saint Thomas Aquinas chapter of the National Honor Society visits Belle Maison Nursing home every month and provides goody bags and prizes for the winners.  They will also be purchasing them new bingo cards next month.
