Eat at Firehouse Subs Thursday night to benefit Falcons

As the excitement continues to build for our STAte-bound Boys and Girls Basketball teams and their appearances in the State Finals this weekend, Firehouse Subs has generously volunteered to donate 10% of the proceeds of Thursday night dining from 4pm - 8pm to the basketball teams.
 You MUST present the attached flyer in order for your purchase to be counted toward the fundraiser.  The flyer can also be found on the website under STA Docs. Firehouse Subs is located in Channel Shopping Center.

STA Junior Honored as Eagle Scout

STA junior Christopher Hudspeth was recently honored for earning the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest advancement rank in Boy Scouting. In 2012, only seven percent of all Boy Scouts earned the Eagle Scout rank. Christopher is only the 12th scout in his troop to earn Eagle since its institution 20 years ago.

Moore named 2013 Distinguished Graduate

Brooks Moore has been selected as the 2013 Saint Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School Distinguished Graduate.  After graduating from STA in 1994, Brooks received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and went on to receive a Master’s Degree from Florida State University. Brooks is currently the Associate Dean of Students at Indiana State University.

STA Robotics Team Competes in Vex Robotics Competition

Dozens of students from as far away as Virginia, Texas, and Mississippi joined Louisiana students at the Vex Robotics Competition held by Red Stick Robotics and hosted by the University of New Orleans. The contest required each team to build their robots to certain specifications but left room for creativity. The STA Robotics Team placed 3rd overall out of 34 teams.

HAMMOND, LA -- The Starlettes Dance Team from Saint Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School recently returned from Orlando, FL where they competed in the Universal Dance Association’s National Dance Team Competition.  The Starlettes competed against 120 small varsity teams from across the country.
