Dozens of students from as far away as Virginia, Texas, and Mississippi joined Louisiana students at the Vex Robotics Competition held by Red Stick Robotics and hosted by the University of New Orleans. The contest required each team to build their robots to certain specifications but left room for creativity. The STA Robotics Team placed 3rd overall out of 34 teams.

HAMMOND, LA -- The Starlettes Dance Team from Saint Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School recently returned from Orlando, FL where they competed in the Universal Dance Association’s National Dance Team Competition. The Starlettes competed against 120 small varsity teams from across the country.
Seniors Kristen Duhe and Justin Archote were recently honored with the Brotherhood / Sisterhood Awards through the Diocese of Baton Rouge. This award program is designed to recognize individuals who demonstrate a true concern for their fellow human beings regardless of race, religion, or academic achievement.

The United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) is an intensive week-long educational experience and scholarship sponsored by the United States Senate for outstanding high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in public service.
