STA Students Participate in Give NOLA Day

"Give NOLA Day" is a day designated for charitable donations to be made to various organizations in the Greater New Orleans area.  Two STA Broadcasting students won a contest to produce the best video advertisement for an organization.  Madison Lymon and Corinthius Matthews joined with a friend to produce and star in a music video to support Light House for the Blind and their winning video, "Light House for the Blind Rocks" set to the instrumental of "Uptown Funk," was performed on WGNO's "News With a Twist."  "This was a life-changing experience," said Matthews. "It means a lot to be able to do something to help others."  The video helped to raise almost $50,000 for the Light House.  Give NOLA Day raised $4 million for New Orleans area charities.
