Starlettes Win at State Dance Championship

The STA Starlettes dance team competed Sunday in the Universal Dance Association’s Louisiana State Dance Championship, placing first in Small Varsity Jazz and second in Varsity Hip Hop.  The Starlettes competed against teams that are highly ranked not only in the state, but also in the nation, and will face many of these teams again at the national level.

"Our goal at State was to deliver a strong, clean, and energetic routine from start to finish, and I believe we definitely achieved that goal,” said Coach Katie Robinson. “We are in a very good place for Nationals, and I have so much faith in this team. The girls and I thank everyone for their continued support and prayers as we push forward to Orlando."

The Starlettes will compete in Small Varsity Jazz and Hip Hop at the National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Florida, January 30-February 3. You can follow the team online at www.varsity.com.
