Thomas Family Pays It Forward
In late January, STA graduate Collin Rougeau Thomas '05 and her family lost their home in a fire. As part of Catholic School's Week, the STA student body held a Spirit Dress day in order to raise funds to assist the Thomas Family. This week, with the massive and historic flooding in our area, the Thomas Family is paying those funds forward.
Dear STA,
My family cannot express enough how humbled we are for the fundraising efforts by the STA student body. Our family home was destroyed by fire, but we are stronger now as a family due to the amazing Hammond community in which we reside.
With this being said, we would like to donate the money raised on our behalf by the STA family to Mrs Darlene Tallo. Mrs Tallo suffered massive flooding to her residence and did not have flood insurance. This was truly an historic event for our area. The Thomas Family is more than blessed by the continued support of everyone, therefore it is in our hearts to donate these funds to Mrs Tallo.
Thanks again to our STA family and we ask for continued prayers for all the families affected by the historic flooding that is taking place.
