Walton Greer Named Mother Seton 2016 Honoree

Mr. Walton Greer has been selected by the STA Home & School Association as the 2016 Mother Seton recipient. This award was created to honor those individuals whose volunteer service and dedication to home, school, and church has been exemplary.  Mother Seton recipients have strong Catholic values, and a selfless dedication to Catholic education. 

"Walton is one of those wonderful volunteers who never says no," said Principal Jose Becerra. "He has given tirelessly of his time and talents, especially in regards to his specialty areas of budget and finance."

Greer has served as Past-President of the STA Advisory Board and Finance Committee, as well as serving on the Advancement and Capital Campaign committees. He is a Past-President and Board Member of OPTIONS, Inc and also a member of the Rotary Club of Hammond. He also volunteers with many events at STA including sporting functions, Lobster Bash, Falcon Fest, and the Color Run. 

 

Walton is currently a Vice President and Business Banker at Whitney Bank. He has been married to Deborah Spalitta Greer since 1991. They have three children, all graduates of Holy Ghost School. Two have also graduated from STA. Rebekah is a 2011 STA graduate and a recent graduate of Loyola University. Rachel is a 2013 STA graduate and is currently a student at Louisiana State University. Reagan will graduate from STA with the Class of 2016 in May.
